Mohawk College is currently recruiting for our next
Professor, Marketing
The School of Business in the McKeil School of Business, Media & Entertainment requires a full time Marketing Professor to teach marketing-oriented business courses in our 2-year diploma, 3-year advanced diploma and various degree programs including but not limited to:
Introductory Marketing, Trades Marketing, Enhanced Marketing Principles, Strategic Thinking and Marketing Management
Advanced topics from the practice of Integrated Marketing Communications, including digital marketing
Capstone courses and experientially formatted course deliveries
Under the direction of the Associate Dean, Professors in this department are responsible for providing academic leadership for developing an effective learning environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to the following:
Create a positive learning environment in the classroom and other learning spaces.
Use a variety of teaching and learning strategies including classroom lectures and workshops, online learning, simulations and experiential learning.
Use a variety of techniques to evaluate student achievement of learning outcomes.
Demonstration of student-centred course design and delivery, including aspects of Universal Design for Learning and intercultural competence.
Assess student feedback and industry trends to develop, deliver and revise curriculum.
Engage in applied research.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful applicant must have:
A minimum of five years of progressive marketing work experience in a variety of industries. Please note; experience with small, industrial or trades oriented operations would be considered an asset.
A PhD or DBA in a marketing/business related discipline.
Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level would be an asset.
Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively inter-culturally with diverse groups of students, employees and the community.
